Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase faced Carlito and Primo for the Unified Tag Team Titles at The Bash 2009. Teddy Long came out and added a third team. It was Edge and Chris Jericho. Edge hit Carlito with a spear to pin him and win the titles. Few weeks later, Edge got injured and Jericho started insulting him. Edge returned at the Royal Rumble at number 29. Edge hit Jericho with a spear, he hit Shawn Michaels and then John Cena too. He threw Jericho out. Batista was last. Batista eliminated Michaels, Cena eliminated Batista and Edge eliminated Cena to win the match. Jericho won the Elimination Chamber to win the world title. On Raw, Edge hit Jericho with a spear and chose to face him at Wrestlemania. On Smackdown, Jericho told Edge he will never spear him again and punched him. Edge fought back and hit him with a spear. Next week, Edge beat Big Show, Jericho came out and Edge hit him with a spear. A week later, Jericho took out Edge. Next week, Jericho took him out again. They met at Wrestlemania. The ref got knocked down, Jericho hit Edge with the title and he kicked out. Jericho hit Edge with the Codebreaker and pinned him to retain the title. Then Edge speared Jericho through the barricade.
