Zoe Ball's BBC Radio 2 return date has been "revealed" after her mysterious absence.

The 53-year-old has been away from her usual show for the last five weeks which has left fans wondering why. However, it looks like she could be coming back sooner rather than later.

Zoe took time off in August after a short break for her late mum’s birthday, who died in April, just 12 weeks after being diagnosed with cancer. But, when she was supposed to return on August 5 other stars came in to replace her.

When Zoe's mum passed away, she shared a sweet tribute to her social media. She wrote: "Thank you for teaching us how to love unconditionally, to always show courage and empathy, and how, even in the darkest of days, laughter is the greatest of gifts. We are bereft without you but will hold so tight to each other. Your grace & your smile that lit up every room you were in, will light the stars to guide us."
