This is the scale of the moorland fire crews are battling near Errwood Reservoir in the Peak District.

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the blaze near Errwood Reservoir in the Goyt Valley on Wednesday (April 30).

Heavy smoke could be seen for several miles around, including from Stockport in Greater Manchester.

Crews returned at 7am on Thursday to continue - with multiple teams on site, as well as support from Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Drivers are being urged to 'proceed with caution' while crews work nearby.

Local residents are reminded to keep all windows and doors closed.
