Released 26 years after the movie release, Rockstar's The Warriors game starts 3 months before the movies story and offers a surprising amount of deep lore with new and interesting characters only Rockstar can make.

But not only did they manage to make a game that feels like it was created by fans (because it was) but the also became the masters of the BRAWL.

The game takes place in a gritty 1979 New York City. The story follows a street gang, the Warriors, and how they had been accused of a murder they didn't commit, and must return to their home turf in one night, though the game begins three months prior to the film's events.
