আবিদা সুলতানা

অসংখ্য শ্রোতাপ্রিয় গানের শিল্পী আবিদা সুলতানা। অডিও কিংবা চলচ্চিত্র দুই ভুবনেই তিনি গান করেছেন। পেয়েছেন শ্রোতাদের ভালোবাসা। আবিদা সুলতানার জন্ম পঞ্চগড়ে। সংস্কৃতি পরিবারে জন্ম ও বেড়ে ওঠার সুবাদে তিনিও এই জগতের একজন হয়ে ওঠেন। ছোট বেলায় গানের চেয়ে নাচের দিকেই বেশি আগ্রহ ছিল আবিদা সুলতানার। তবে শেষ পর্যন্ত গানের মানুষ হয়েই তিনি জয় করেছেন সবার মন।

বাবু রাম গোপাল মহন্ত, ওস্তাদ ফুল মোহাম্মদ, আক্তার সাদমানি, বারীন মজুমদার, ওস্তাদ নারু এবং ওস্তাদ সগীরউদ্দীন খান থেকে গানের তালিম নিয়েছেন আবিদা সুলতানা। রবীন্দ্র সঙ্গীত ও নজরুল সঙ্গীতের ওপর তালিম নিলেও তিনি আধুনিক গানেই বেশি মনোযোগী ছিলেন।

১৯৬৮ সালে বাংলাদেশ টেলিভিশন ও বাংলাদেশ বেতারের তালিকাভূক্ত শিল্পী হন আবিদা সুলতানা। চলচ্চিত্রের গানে তাকে প্রথম পাওয়া যায় ১৯৭৪ সালে। সেই থেকে তিনি অন্তত সাড়ে ৪০০ সিনেমায় গান করেছেন।

আবিদা সুলতানার গাওয়া জনপ্রিয় গানগুলোর মধ্যে রয়েছে- ‘বিমূর্ত এই রাত্রি আমার, মৌনতার সুতোয় বোনা একটি রঙিন চাদর...’, 'একটা দোলনা যদি', 'বিমূর্ত এই রাত্রি আমার', 'হৃদয়ের অচেনা দুটি নদী', 'হারজিত চিরদিন থাকবে', 'হাতে থাক দুটি হাত', 'মধুচন্দ্রিমার এই রাত', 'আমাদের দেশটা স্বপ্নপুরী', 'এ কী বাঁধনে বল', 'আমি সাত সাগর পাড়ি দিয়ে', 'রঙিলা পাখিরে', 'আমি জ্যোতিষীর কাছে যাব' প্রভৃতি।

ব্যক্তিগত জীবনে আবিদা সুলতানা বিবাহিত এবং এক সন্তানের জননী। তার স্বামী বরেণ্য সঙ্গীতশিল্পী রফিকুল আলম। তারা ভালোবেসে বিয়ে করেছিলেন ১৯৭৫ সালে। এছাড়াও তিনি সঙ্গীত পরিচালক শওকত আলী ইমন এর বড় বোন।
