France: SNCF Paris Austerlitz to Briancon overnight ski trains. A collection of six clips covering the additional ski trains from Paris to Briancon. All clips recorded on Saturday 22nd February 2014.

Clip 1 - 67442 & 67419 depart from Embrun on train 5797, the 21.50 from Paris Austerlitz to Briancon.

Clip 2 (1:30) - 67408 & 67345 depart from Montdauphin Guillestre on train 5827, the 20.51 from Paris Austerlitz to Briancon.

Briançon a commune in the Hautes-Alpes department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France. It is a sub-prefecture of the department.

At an altitude of 1,326 metres (4,350 feet) it is the highest city in the European Union, based on the French definition as a community containing more than 2,000 inhabitants. Briançon's most recent population estimate is 11,645.

Briançon is built on a plateau centred on the confluence of the Durance and the Guisane rivers.

Hautes-Alpes is a department in southeastern France named after the Alps mountain range.
Hautes-Alpes is one of the original 83 departments created during the French Revolution on 4 March 1790. It consists of the southeast of the former province of Dauphiné and the north of Provence. The department is surrounded by the following French departments: Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Drôme, Isère, and Savoie. Italy borders it on the east.

Hautes-Alpes is located in the Alps mountain range. The average elevations is over 1000 m, and the highest elevation is over 4000 m. The only three sizable towns are Gap, Briançon, and Embrun.

The SNCF (Société Nationale des Chemins de fer français; "French National Railway Corporation") is France's national state-owned railway company. Les BB 67000 sont des locomotives diesel de la SNCF. Elles ont été commandées le 22 décembre 1960, et la première a été mise en service le 10 août 1963 au dépôt de Chambéry.

Les BB 67000 sont des locomotives diesel-électrique de ligne, mixtes voyageurs et marchandises.
Les premières séries sont fabriquées par Brissonneau et Lotz à Aytré,en Charente Maritime.

En 1963, livraison de la BB 67001 au dépôt de Chambéry, première de la série BB 67001 à BB 67040. Puis suivirent les BB 67041 à 124, fruits d'une seconde commande. Toutes ces locomotives sont aptes à circuler en unités multiples (UM) avec les véhicules de la même série.

Après une première partie de carrière, et bien qu'une partie de la série ait été radiée, le gros des troupes ont été transformées : d'abord 20 machines en BB 67300, puis 75 autres en BB 67200. Les 5 dernières sont transformées en BB 67200 pour la LGV Est européenne.
