UNCURLING—5 in process…

i haven’t choreographed in two years and now i’m back doing what i love! creating! this process was challenge getting back in the space, leading, expressing my artistic voice and navigating how to communicate my creative wants v. needs.

i learned that i leaned a bit too intention heavy this process and the question i ask myself, ‘what are you willing to sacrifice when giving others the weight of your human experiences for the sake of art and collaboration and the final result?’ i’m still not sure and i think i have a while before mastering this, so now, post process, i’d like to master my movement language and method for creating.

in addition- i had so much fun being in the studio with inspiring and hungry artists. it was like therapy every rehearsal. im so grateful for the cast and the chance to jump back into what i love, never to turn away ever again, if God allows :)
