Recording and Mixing DRUM COVERS

Описание к видео Recording and Mixing DRUM COVERS

Here is a breakdown video of the process I go through when recording and mixing my drums for my drum covers - and showing how I mixed the drums for the track Carmen by Toto (which originally features the legendary Jeff Porcaro.

Here I go through, how I get the music track separated, so I can mute the original drum track, and how I approach mixing it - drum by drum.
Mind you - I haven´t included how I tune, mike up the drums, interface, miking techniques, how I shoot the video, lighting, video editing etc, which is also very crucial for making a good drum cover -
but perhaps that can be for another time?
