I went back to the lake where I caught my personal best bass a couple trips ago to see if I could make it happen again. The plan was simple: throw big swimbaits offshore early and chase another giant. The bite was slow, but I managed to stick one on the swimbait before deciding to switch things up.

I went shallow with a chatterbait — the number one bait I want to master this season — and finally connected! It wasn’t a giant at first, but later in the day I put together a 17.5” bass out deep, and then went back shallow to finish my bag on the chatterbait. Slowly but surely, I’m building confidence with this bait and starting to put it all together.

This video is all about bass fishing progression, learning new techniques, and adapting when the bite changes. Whether it’s swimbaits offshore or chatterbaits up shallow, every trip is another step toward becoming a better angler.
