This week I begin laying the very first reclaimed bricks for the new roastery floor. After weeks of digging, compacting, sorting, and preparing the old stable, it’s exciting to finally see the first rows going down. I also build a simple filtration system at the farm to help manage winter mud, experiment with pointing the bricks using a mortar gun, and talk through my procrastination about approaching the floor! A cold week, but good progress.
