I actually had a lot more things I wanted to include in this video (like some interactions between Rita and Sasha, and more backstory stuff), but I ended up having to cut out some stuff that I had planned to be able to finish this on time. x.x If you want to see some cute interactions between Rita and Sasha though, definitely check out CaptainSelenwerewol's audition video!

I tried to make the plot pretty self-explanatory with the text, but I'll give a brief rundown here as well:

Rita is taking a little afternoon nap when she hears some commotion in the street. It turns out to be some of the members of the Junkyard Dogs, spreading the word that Buster is searching for a new member to join them. Rita immediately heads to the club that she works part-time at to tell the dog that runs the club, Peg, that she won't be able to work for a while. Rita tell her the story of how she met Buster when she was a puppy and turned down his offer to join his gang, which she regretted a lot as she got older. Peg is supportive of her dream to join the Junkyard Dogs, even though it means losing another one of her performers, since Sasha, a good friend of Rita's, had disappeared without any notice a while before. Rita heads off to the Junkyard and sees some of the other hopefuls waiting around, including Sasha, her missing friend! Before she gets a chance to talk to her, Sgt. Tibbs calls her over and asks why she should be given a chance to compete. She tells him about her experience with living on the streets, and how she's willing to do anything to achieve her dream. He tells her he will pass the information on to Buster, so now, all there is to do is wait for the final verdict!
