Daughtry - September (cover)

Описание к видео Daughtry - September (cover)

We knew we had to leave this town, but we never knew when and we never knew how....

Those words seem to ring true in my life and where I want it to go. I heard this song a couple of days ago when I was checking out Daughtry's new album. It seemed to be a fit for the type of song I usually like to sing. For this one I kept it in the original key. I probably could have moved down a half step or maybe a full step but for those who complain when i don't do a song in the original key, well, here ya go. It was a tough one but I hope I did it justice.

A note about the guitar part. In an interview Chris said that he came up with the guitar riff while trying to play a different one of his songs. The guitar was tuned different and in turn he came up with this riff because of that tuning. I didn't figure out what that exact tuning was and I know that I'm not playing that part correctly because of it. However, I came up with something that is close and still allows me to do the standard chord formations for the chorus.

Here's what I used for chords
1/2 step down tuning with capo on 4 (or standard with capo on 3)
1st half of verses: Em,D/F,Cadd9,D,Cadd9
2nd half of verses: Em, D/F, G, Cadd9
1st half Chorus: G,Cadd9,D,Cadd9
2nd half chorus: G,Cadd9,Em,Cadd9
Bridge: G5,C5
