BEST Budget 50mm Lens?! Meike 50mm f/0.95 APS-C for Sony E-Mount

The Meike 50mm f/0.95 lens for APS-C has the distinction of being the most shallow depth of field lens that I've ever had the chance to shoot with. Yet it also is easily one of the most affordable lenses you'll find for a bokeh-heavy 50mm. Does this lens truly offer an amazing bang for your buck, or is the price too good to be true?

In this lens review, I'll cover the many specifications and features of the Meike 50mm f/0.95 lens for APS-C. While this lens exists for other camera mount systems, given this lens is designed for Sony E-Mount specifically, I'll discuss my time using it with full frame Sony cameras like the a7R V and a7 IV that can shoot in APS-C crop mode in 4K. However, this lens is certainly just as much at home with Sony's many popular APS-C bodies, among them including the a6700, FX30, ZV-E10, a6600, a6400, a6100 and more.
