Return to Sport Training - ACL & PCL Tear

Описание к видео Return to Sport Training - ACL & PCL Tear

5 months in..... of strength and stability rehab my orthopedic surgeon has given me the all clear to begin my to "Return to Sport" Training. This is kind of like the homestretch (quite a long one though mind) in terms of getting my feet back in some bindings and getting out on the snow.

Return to Sport training is quite varied but focuses on the things that you aren't supposed to do at the beginning of knee ligament injury: pivoting, twisting, spinning... all that stuff where the forces are acting on the knee in multiple directions. With the guidance of my trainer, Diana, we go through the exercises in a specific order to maximize how effective they are.

This is my first time doing these so hopefully you can see some of the areas Im getting corrected and apply it to yourself.

If you wish to strengthen your knees then this would be a good place to start as long as your incorporate these exercises with strength training.

*If you have especially weak knees or you are recovering from injury make sure you see a professional and not just rely on these.

**My injury is a high grade II tear to my ACL and PCL and a torn root on my lateral meniscus. The brace is an OSSUR PCL Rebound Brace.
