As you know that your tap water is containing chlroine and flouride causing the leaf tips brown. You need bottled drinking water.I have also gone through this problem. Since I started using bottled water, the leaves have stopped turning brown,Now this problem is fixed to a great extent. Fill your vase with bottled drinking water, then add your plants in the vase.

Once the leaves turn brown, they will never turn green again. so, you have to prune the parts.
Don't snip off the whole leaf. Many of us make a staright cut like this. this looks weird among the other leaves. so when you are cutting it. Dont forget to disinfect your tools with rubbing alcohol and make a triangular shaped cut. like this. it will seem like , it was never there.
