The Danelectro 6-String bass is all over Beach Boys records (and 60s Pop records in general.)

Learn what makes it unique in this video, how Brian Wilson used it, and learn about the difficulties of identifying it for transcription and production analysis purposes. When the Dano bass shows up in a song that I am going to analyse, it will get some discussion time relating to that song, but I thought a little general intro might help. I hope it is useful to some of you!

The tone of both instruments is not exactly dialed in here, because I had to use a neutral amp setting to cover a few different songs and styles. So tune in for each individual song for a more accurate representation of the full capabilities of the basses.
