The whole situation has been detailed in a post by RadarOnline, which includes assertions from a well-placed source.
The discussion began when the source said, "Of course, they're putting it out there that this is a better opportunity because it gives them more control."
However, the insider clarified that "as anyone in Hollywood knows, it could wind up being a stigma trap".
Because "if Netflix passes on something they pitch, it sends a negative message to other companies," the publication continued.
It's worth noting that the second season of With Love, Meghan, which premiered on August 26, completely 'tanked'. It garnered barely 5.3 million views.
This caused the media source to argue: "Now the former royals have been demoted to a first-look deal with Netflix, meaning the streamer has first dibs on new projects, but is offering little to no investment."
