On April 20th 2017, the Moroccan Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and the International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM) organized a forum on “Resilient Value Chains as a Driving Force for Sustainable Development” in Meknes, Morocco during the Salon International de L’Agriculture au Maroc.
The Forum’s objective was to share good experiences and practices in the field of resilient agricultural value chains and their effects on sustainable territory development. Focusing on Morocco – strongly involved in the agricultural sector development through the “Green Morocco Plan” – the event fostered dialogue between public and private stakeholders and offered an exceptional opportunity to identify areas where investment could sustain agricultural production, inclusive development and trade.
