Daniel Boone’s Missouri Grave!

Daniel Boone is certainly famous for his adventures in Kentucky, but most don’t realize that he spent his last two decades in Missouri. Boone had very ill feelings about Kentucky, he had lost pretty much all his land and wealth there, and Missouri was very welcoming to this living legend.
 
Boone lived his last days at the house of his son Nathan, and he died there in 1820. He was buried on family land, with his wife Rebecca, and next to his famous daughter Jemima, and her husband Flanders Calloway.
 
In 1845, Boone and Rebecca’s remains were moved to Kentucky where his grave overlooks the state capitol. But wait! There is much controversy as to if they got the correct remains or not!
