M/S statue of King George V, this fades to archive footage of King George V getting into a carriage in Paris. Aerial L/S as they ride along. Various shots as they walk along. M/S of the King and Queen Mary on a balcony. M/S of them getting into a car, he tips his hat.



M/S of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth getting off the train in Paris and greeting various dignitaries. M/S as the Queen and President Albert Lebrun walk along. M/S of children waving. M/S of the King getting into a car, M/S of flags being waved. Various shots as the car drives along. Aerial L/S of military parade, M/S of Queen with Mrs Lebrun in car. L/S of airship hovering near the Arc de Triomphe as troops ride through. M/S of King. Various shots as the cars make their way along surrounded by a Guard of Honour. The couple greet dignitaries and go up the steps to Hotel de Ville (?). Guards stand to attention. M/S as the couple walk along inside and greet Lebrun and his wife. Various shots of other people at the dinner.

C/U of waiter in 15th century outfit and wig. C/U of the King. Various shots of the Queen and Lebrun at the historic pageant. Various shots as they meet the performers and congratulate them.

M/S of him signing the Golden Book of Remembrance. Various shots as their car drives off. Various shots of the couple on a launch on the river Seine as they pass landmarks. They get off and walk up steps as band plays. Various shots as they arrive at Hotel de Ville (?) and walk up steps. Various shots of them in the Bagatelle Gardens. Various shots of a ballet, good M/S of the King and Queen watching and smiling. Various shots of Paris at night with everything bedecked in Union Jack flags. Big crowds turn out. M/S of a big firework display.



Cataloguer's note: the soundtrack is missing until 01:15:16 when we hear music and some French commentary.
