The boost bug has been a part of CS2 since the limited testing phase and remains unfixed by Valve to this day, but things will most likely change in the next CS2 patch, thanks to some incredibly smart members of the community.

Recently, a member of the Counter-Strike 2 community found a way to reproduce the boosting bug with 100% consistency and sent the steps to achieve this to Valve roughly 2 months ago.

After nothing happend (no fix to the bug, no response from Valve) he sent the same to the steamdb modding community, which were able to exactly figure out what was causing the boost bug in CS2 without even having access to the source code of the game.

This begs the question, how some clever members of the CS2 community were able to identify the root cause of the boosting bug in roughly 12 hours, while Valve was unable to do so in over a year.
