Employee Deposit Linked Insurance || PF EDLI Scheme || PF EDLI Insurance Benefits

In this Video we will see EPFO EDLI Scheme 1976, Benefits and EDLI Calculation. Employee Deposit Linked Insurance (EDLI) is the part of PF contribution. If an employee is PF member then he/she is automatically part of EDLI benefits. Employee need not to pay any premium for this EDLI insurance and Employer will pay the EDLI contribution along with monthly challan. Currently EDLI contribution is 0.5% of EPF wages. In the event of employee death his/her nominee will get insurance amount after filling death claim. Employee is cover from day one and 24x7 time period in anywhere in the world. We talk about recent amendment in EDLI coverage which increased from 6 Lakhs to 7 Lakhs w.e.f. April 2021.
