CM Punjab Usman Buzdar's Press Conference 2nd May 2020:

▪ 90,000 people have been tested so far
▪ 2,206 patients have been recovered
▪ 90% people in the quarantines of Zaireen and Tableeghi Jamaat have recovered and reached their homes
▪ Our daily testing capacity will be 6000 from tomorrow.
▪️The distribution of Rs 12,000 will be started under *Insaf Imdaad Program*, 25 Lac families will benefit from it.
▪️Additional 10 Lac families will receive Rs 3000 under Ramadan package
▪️Rs 34 Billion have been distributed among 28 Lac families under Ehsaas.
▪ Federal Govt has been requested to allow and approve Home Quarantine SOPs
▪ Overseas Pakistanis are being quarantined in hotels and field hospitals of Punjab Govt as they return to Pakistan. All to be tested after 48 Hours.
▪️ An inquiry has been initiated on the complaints of quarantined overseas Pakistanis
▪Smart sampling has been initiated in 6 districts; Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan, Gujranwala, Gujrat, and Faisalabad.
▪️ Smart sampling will have 6 categories; media houses, law enforcement, administrative offices, health workers, TB and Aids patients, pregnant women in hospitals and prisoners.
▪️ 8 BSL-3 Labs are now functional with a cost of Rs 620 million
▪️There is no shortage of PPE kits, Test kits, and beds.
▪️We’ve carried out 3700 tests yesterday.
• Suggestions presented to the federal Govt to help the daily wagers and business sector;
o Opening the construction sector
o Opening the feeding and export sector.
o Opening the power looms and other factories that have their own labor colonies.
o Opening the iron and steel industry
• Suggested the federal Govt on categorizing the markets in different zones and opening each one of them on a specific day
