In Cleveland Ohio, a subculture of dancers utilize the art form of Krump Dancing as a means to build community, navigate away from trauma, and connect with a larger network of like-minds through frequent meet-ups that are aptly named "The Session".

The film follows Paul Carpenter, Aaron Saunders, and Conrad Miles (also co-director) as they describe the ways that Krump has been a therapeutic outlet throughout the harshest moments of their lives.
