Demonstrating a little ShimmyFitz Chinese Fan Fusion Dance! It's a combination of a little bit of shimmy with Chinese dance moves, with Chinese fans.

It's not as good as I had envisioned in my head, and yes it could be much better. I didn't have the time and energy to practice and polish it, as my time was taken up with other dance competitions and my full-time work. Ugh, excuses, I know!

To be very honest, this little dance was choreographed as a virtual entry for a Chinese arts competition (Hwashen). To my utmost surprise, I managed to get through to the finals with this audition piece! I totally did not expect it as I feel this piece is not polished enough. I had taken this on as a personal challenge to try a song that I typically would not use and try to incorporate moves that I am not familiar with. My finals choreography is in a separate upcoming video (will link it when it's publicly available).

I aim to keep choreography more shimmy fusion dances, rather than just workouts, so that we can explore more dance movements especially those borrowed from belly dance and other genres.
