According to the current belief, atoms emit light when their electrons move from a higher energy level to a lower energy level. This transition releases a photon, which is a particle of light, with an energy and wavelength corresponding to the energy difference between the two levels. However, my studies suggest that there are serious issues with the current model of the atom and the explanations for all phenomena in the atomic and molecular world.
