I am a Certified Nutrition Health Coach and a part of the International Association for Health Coaches. I am also working towards my master’s degree in human nutrition through the University of Bridgeport. My role in the healthcare industry is to teach others about healthy and nutritional basics. I support individuals in achieving health and behavioral changes based on their personal goals that are consistent with any treatment plans prescribed by an individual’s professional health care providers. With my dance background in both training and professional environments, I help dancers to learn about a balanced approach to nutrition and creating a healthy body image and relationship with food. However, I am not a Certified Nutrition Specialist (although I am working towards this) or a Registered Dietitian, nor do I claim to be one. I do not diagnose, treat, prescribe, or interpret medical results. It is my duty to refer individuals to necessary health care professionals in cases of nutritional deficiencies, injuries, illnesses, or other chronic physical or mental health care issues.
