📖 Unlike solid food, water moves quickly from your stomach to your small intestine, especially after bariatric surgery, where your stomach is much smaller. Water doesn’t stay long enough to stretch it.
💧 Here’s my advice:
✅ Sip water throughout the day – it won’t be a problem for your gastric pouch.
❌ Don’t drink large amounts with food – it increases pressure inside your stomach.
⏳ Wait 30 minutes before & after meals – this helps with digestion and prevents discomfort.
🚨 Water won’t stretch your stomach, but staying hydrated is crucial for your recovery and long-term health.
