This time the curiosity of the wanderer's mind within me and the search for mysteries brought me to the huge Chilika Lake adjacent to the Bay of Bengal in the coastal state of Odisha, India. About 70 kilometers long and 30 kilometers wide, Chilika is India's largest and the world's second largest semi-saline lagoon lake. It is Asia's largest brackish water lagoon. Spread over about 1100 square kilometers, this lake is home to many species of native and foreign birds and is a major source of livelihood for the fishermen of the area. There are many species of fish here and it is also home to dolphins. When I reached Chilika Lake in search of these dolphins, I got the opportunity to understand many new mysteries while boating in the lake.
