Twin Peaks forever changed the landscape of tv in 1990 and paved the way for innovative and unconventional series. In the original series finale, Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee) tells Agent Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan), “I’ll see you in 25 years.” In 2017, David Lynch delivered on this promise bringing, Twin Peaks: The Return, to Showtime. The series was a surreal, hauntingly beautiful swan song for the much loved series. Every episode felt like a film. Long time fans reveled in a series that was pure uninhibited Lynch, while a new generation was introduced to the magic of Twin Peaks.

Cast members of Twin Peaks: The Return, returned to this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. There were autograph sessions with new cast members including; Chrysta Bell (Agent Tammy Preston) and Robert Broski (Woodsman) and original series regulars; Sherilyn Fenn (Audrey Horne), Harry Goaz (Deputy Andy Brennan) and Kimmy Robertson (Lucy Brennan). Following the autograph sessions a panel discussion was held. While David Lynch wasn’t at SDCC, he did send a greeting to fans via Executive Producer, Sabrina Sutherland. She read texts messages from Lynch during the panel. Lynch’s message was, “I am working with Phillip Jeffries to see if I can get there. Twin Peaks fans are the best fans. I got my days mixed up and I’m going to be there yesterday if not sooner. It’s slippery in here. In the Red Room, special agent Dale Cooper has already won the Emmy.” For those unfamiliar with Twin Peaks, Phillip Jeffries is a Twin Peaks character, a FBI agent that goes missing and was played by David Bowie in the film, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me.

Members of the cast participated in round table interviews with the press. Red Carpet Report’s Jennifer Ortega spoke to many of the attending cast members. She asked them about working with David Lynch, the loyal fan following of Twin Peaks, and even talked to Eric Edelstein (Detective Smiley Fusco) about how depressed they are that the DuPar’s in Studio City in now a Sephora. That specific DuPar’s was where Mark Frost and David Lynch would meet when creating the original Twin Peaks. The overall consensus was that working with David Lynch is pretty life changing and magical in its own right.
