Balance shafts seized up and sheared off the bolt that holds the sprocket. Rather than replace the entire expensive unit, I decided to cut the gear off so that the shaft with the sprocket can spin again. It's tricky to cut without cutting into the main body. I used a 5" thin cutoff blade in a side grinder.
