Diksha Manjari is a pioneering initiative by renowned #Odissidancer #DonaGanguly. A classical dance school that has more than two decades of a rich teaching tradition, to maintain the high standards of performance and professionalism. The institution works to propagate all forms of Indian Classical dance in its true beauty among the next generations making them aware of the rich cultural dance heritage of our country.The school seeks to spread the glory of the different forms of performing art both within and beyond the borders of the country. The team of talented dancers have travelled to several countries including China, Bangladesh, Egypt, U.S.A, U.K, Singapore and many more as Cultural Ambassadors. The school also emphasizes on Swimming, Yoga and karate. Currently there are more than 2000 students in Diksha Manjari.
Dona Ganguly, trained under legendary Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra, is a prolific Guru herself and carries forward his legacy with grace and dedication. Diksha Manjari has been inaugurated by Smt Lata Mangeshkar and its Crystal celebration was in the presence of Mr. Amitabh Bachchan at Victoria Memorial Hall Kolkata. Diksha Manjarians are enthusiastic and are working towards their goal with commitment.They have recently participated in Kolkata International Film Festival, FIFA World Cup and they organize Basanta Utsav where more than 800 students participate (is only to mention a few).
