My Vehicle: 2018 BMW G01 X3 M40i

Note: I have done my own work on the BMW since purchasing it new seven years ago. I use FCP Euro for this repair, and can attest that the parts and maintenance materials which I have bought from them over the years to maintain my X3, have been high quality.

I've done my best to try and document this repair in the hopes that maybe it could help someone else with some information. Not as a professional, I've been working on cars as a performance hobbyist for almost 50 years now.

However I don't believe that this repair requires much mechanical experience. And it only needs a few simple hand tools. Mostly it is about just being curious enough about this procedure to want to try it yourself; that's all.
