Calling college coaches is a critical step in the recruiting process. Most athletes will not take the opportunity to call a coach and introduce themselves and for those who do, they will be remembered by that coach.

When you call a coach, you want to know a few things.
- Where they will be evaluating recruits
- The best way to send them updates and game film
- What it takes to play for them
- What the next steps are

Don't expect your first phone call with a coach to answer all of your questions. It is simply an introduction and an opportunity to gauge initial interest. You want to leave the conversation with a clear idea of what you need to do next.
