Dr Devika Kamath is on a mission to decode the universe

You have probably looked up at the star-filled sky on a clear, dark evening and wondered to yourself ‘What else is out there?’. It’s questions like this that drive the diverse projects our Macquarie University astronomy and astrophysics researchers are pursuing.

From collaborating with Australian Astronomical Optics to develop imaging technology for the Very Large Telescope in Chile and research into the origin of elements in the universe, to hosting open nights at our on-campus observatory, Macquarie’s students, researchers and industry partners are working together to illuminate the unknown and expand humanity’s understanding of the cosmos.
