The 'Host Festival 2021' has been organized there by the expatriate Bangladeshis.
The festival was organized for men on Saturday night in the hall of the Bangladesh Association in Lavapies, a Bangladeshi-inhabited area of Madrid, and for women in a side-mounted Sonali restaurant.
Organized under the slogan 'Pulse pulls the bond of tradition - let's go and eat mezzan', the festival started at 8 pm and ended at 1 pm. The main attraction of the festival was the host food - rice, beef and pulses.
The hall of the Bangladesh Association became a gathering place for expatriate Bangladeshis in the presence of people of different professions irrespective of party like the host. Apart from Chittagong residents living in Madrid and surrounding cities, many expatriate Bangladeshis took part in the festival.
Bangladeshi Ambassador to Spain Mohammad Sarwar Mahmud and embassy staff tasted Chittagong food at the host with their families.
Also present among the prominent members of the community were Khorshed Alam Majumder, President of Bangladesh Mosque Management Committee, Al Mamun, Former President of Bangladesh Association, Kamruzzaman Sundar, Current General Secretary, Md. Fazle Elahi, President of Valiant Bengal, Mozammel Haque Manu, Nur Hossain Patwari, Md. Rizvi Alam. , HM Masudur Rahman, Ramiz Uddin, Saiful Islam Iqbal, Kabir Ahmed, Tota Kazi and President of Spain Bangla Press Club Sahadul Suhed.
The guests hoped that the presence of such a large number of expatriate Bangladeshis at the same time would further enhance the friendship and harmony among them.
Kazi Enayetul Karim Tareq, former president of Chittagong Association, thanked everyone for their spontaneous participation in such an event. He said that he wants to continue the opportunity to practice the native tradition and culture even in exile in this way.

Dulal Safa, Adviser of Chittagong Association Alauddin Chowdhury Babul, Saifuddin Saifu.
Later, businessmen Mithu Karim Mithu, Lokman Hakim, Qutub Uddin Qutub, Rokon, Morshedul Alam Azam, Hasan and others living in Chittagong came forward to implement their plan.
With the participation of more than two thousand expatriate Bangladeshis, the whole event was festive. Expatriate Bangladeshis took part in the host and tasted the traditional food of Chittagong. Every year, the Chittagong Association of Madrid serves traditional Chittagong food without paying a fee.
