How I prepare EYFS activity- expressive arts and design, exploring texture

Hi everyone and welcome to my channel. My name is Mihaela and in todays video I prepared an activity based on the EYFS guideline. EYFS stands for Early Years Foundation Stage and is used by practitioners across Britain to set out activities for the children and keep track on their development. I chose to use the guideline at home with my baby because I want to give her the best possible start in life.
This activity helps Charlotte explore and discover new textures, smell (from the jelly and the orange), and taste as is safe for her to eat.
in the EYFS is linked to active playing and exploring/specific area- expressive arts and design - exploring new textures. this activity is suitable from children 8+ months.

If you try this at home please make sure that all items provided/used are safe for your child/baby. Never leave your child/baby unattended during the activity.

It is very important to praise your baby and use positive language as it helps with building their confidence.

Communication and language develops better when conversation is being made trough the activity by describing texture, taste, colours etc. Also give the older children the opportunity to have their say and bring ideas as well as taking the lead where is safe to do so.
