Fortunately, the government has stepped in to streamline this process by requiring that chargers be equipped with contactless payment terminals, eliminating the need for apps or network memberships. Additionally, all public charge points must provide a free 24/7 helpline for users.

While these changes greatly benefit end users, they present challenges for charge point operators and electricians.
