For my second feature this week, I present the second full length album from Hérétique du Nor, themed around the harsh Quebec winters.

The solo project Malgeist, À l'abri de la Lumière is self-released under the banner of artist collective Scarlet Kross, combining dungeon synth, dark ambient and raw black metal.

À l’abri de la Lumière is a prelude to a full titled album to be released this coming winter, and is set to feature contributions from David and Myrdynn from Quebec Black Metal group "Orphique", Spiritus from Neige et Noirceur, Nightwalker of Blodmoon, Marzao form Forest of Bones among other shadowy entities from this collective.

For now, allow the dark bleak winter to consume you in the unforgiving wilds of À l'abri de la Lumière.

Wilfried Sätty was a German occultist, illustrator, and collage artist, born in Bremen Germany in 1939 who moved to San Francisco in the early 60s, and passed away in 1983. He was associated with the artists and bohemians of the Beat Generation, and acclaimed as the illustrator of the psychedelic San Francisco 60s scene, renowned for his striking monochrome collage art.
