How to Compose a Simple Fugue || Imitative Counterpoint 5

Описание к видео How to Compose a Simple Fugue || Imitative Counterpoint 5

In this video, we learn about composing a simple fugue, which means a fugue without any consistent countersubject. We first analyze three example fugues composed by Johann Joseph Fux in Gradus ad Parnassum that demonstrate fugal procedure in 2-, 3-, and 4-voice textures. Then we end the video with a tutorial where I compose a simple 4-voice fugue in C major, using a fugue subject derived from a Cantus firmus.
