Boabdil is the new Emir of Granada. Ferdinand & Isabella start their Reconquista (Isabel s02e08)

As all the Emir's forces are engaged in the siege of Alhama, he remains undefended against a plot to overthrow him. He runs away and his imprisoned eldest son, Boabdil, is put on the throne. In the meantime, Ferdinand II of Aragon sets off with his and his wife Isabella I of Castile's armies to continue their ancestors' endeavour to renconquer all the Iberian Peninsula.

'Isabel' is a Spanish TV series about the life of Isabella I, Queen regnant of Castile, one of the most important Spanish monarchs, from her childhood years till her death after 3 decades of ruling.
