Three terrorists of Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad were killed in a joint Army–J&K Police encounter in the Chatroo area of Kishtwar under Operation “Trashi-I.” Acting on intelligence inputs, security forces tracked the militants to a mud house, where a fierce gunfight broke out. Two AK-47 rifles and other arms were recovered, and search operations are still underway. With this, six JeM terrorists have been neutralised in the Jammu region this year.
