The apostle Paul wrote in Philippians that the name of Jesus is “a name which is above every name” (Phil. 2:9). The name of Jesus has great meaning in Scripture and holds enormous value for the Christian. It is through faith and belief in Him that salvation and everlasting life can be accepted because of Jesus and because of His sacrifice for sin (John 3:16; Romans 3:21-26, 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8-9).
