The PCV (positive crankcase valve) of the 1.6HDi/TDCi engines is integral to the rocker cover. This is how to replace the diaphragm, as part of the PCV. One needs a spare cap or to buy the whole rocker cover in order to be able to replace it. It is almost impossible with simple tools to lift the cap without breaking the plastic pins.

The car is Peugeot Partner (2007, 90bhp, no DPF, M59, 1.6HDi, ~90k miles).

Replacing the PCV diaphragm did not resolve the blue-ish smoke on cold startup. The o-ring seal that goes into the PCV has been replace to create a good seal. Most likely cause of the blue-ish smoke on startup are the valve stem seals.
