John Stowell | NCK Sessions

Описание к видео John Stowell | NCK Sessions

Welcome back to another episode of NCK Sessions. Today we are humbled in the presence of guitarist John Stowell. The understated international jazz artist played for us his originals - the pensive "Always Sometimes" and the sprightly "Springfield Sonata". John admitted that his impressionistic pieces are challenging for most audience. But his passionate followers won't mind. Listening to him play, one can still hear his avant-garde influences such as Miles Davis' "Bitches Brew". John played his trusty SoloEtte travel guitar installed with Andy Timmons DiMarzio humbucker in the neck and RMC active Piezo system from Richard McClish in the bridge. The guitar goes through two Henriksen's "The Bud" - a 120W combo housed in a 9" cube for a clean warm tone. Put on your headphones. Enjoy!

Special thanks to Winthrop Jazz Studio for arranging John's appearance.
