The Supreme Court of India on Monday refused to accord an urgent hearing to a plea regarding the ongoing IndiGo airlines crisis. Reporting from the court, India Today's Srishti Ojha confirms that a bench led by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant declined the request, observing that the Government of India has already taken cognisance of the matter and timely action appears to have been taken. The court remarked that it 'cannot run an airline' and noted that while the issue of stranded passengers is serious, the executive is already addressing it. The Delhi High Court is scheduled to hear a similar petition on Wednesday.
