Overview of my painting scope and sequence elementary art classes including how and when to use liquid tempera, temera cakes, liquid watercolor, pan watercolor, and acrylic paint in Kindergarten through fifth grades.

Lessons incorporate color mixing, advanced color theory, value, technique, contemporary artists, perspective, collage and using resources for drawing.

CURRICULUM
Long form art tutorials for art teachers. Art Curriculum videos outline the scope and sequence of each topic. These “How to teach” lesson guides describe projects, lessons and activities for a specific Element of Art or art medium and include appropriate age-range, supplies needed, order of teaching, classroom video and book recommendations and plenty of pictures. The HEIDI HOW channel produces easy to follow, skill building art project tutorials for art teachers and home school art. Most projects are easily adaptable for "Art on a Cart" teachers and TAB (Teaching for Artistic Behavior) classrooms. Heidi How art lesson tutorials are perfect for beginning teachers, especially first year art teachers. Heid How also has a lot of great ideas if you are looking to refresh your art curriculum and integrate some new art lessons and fun art projects. Most tutorials are geared toward Elementary Art (K-5), but most can be easily expanded and adapted for middle school and high school art programs.
