What is IPX2 Testing?
The IPX2 standards test the level of protection of enclosures against intrusions and are a part of the IP Code family of tests. The first digit, denoted by X ranges from a value of 1-6, signifying increasingly higher degrees of protection against solid particles. The second digit, the two is conducted at a 15 degree tilt for 10 minutes with a 3mm rainfall per minute drip.

Test Standards:
IEC standard 60529
MIL-STD-810
DIN 40050-9

Test Parameters:
Defined as dripping water when tilted up to 15°. The requirement is that the EUT shall experience no harmful effects when the enclosure is tilted at an angle up to 15° from its normal position and exposed to dripping water. The test details include a test duration of 10 minutes and a water equivalent to 3mm rainfall per minute.
