The Sounder is a commuter train service that runs in the Central Puget Sound region of Western Washington State. Sounder is operated by Sound Transit and serves the major cities of Everett, Seattle, and Tacoma using a fleet of Bombardier Bi-level coaches and EMD F59PHI and MPI MP40 locomotives. In this episode of Train Talk, we take a look at this interesting operation, discussing the railroad's past, present, and future.
