Chapin 24V Backpack Sprayer Review 2022

This is a story of two defective units.

The first one I set up, right out of the box, charged the battery to 100% and added about 2 gallons of water. The pump turned on, but would never prime. Kept it running for 3-4 minutes and never ran water through the pump. Submitted a return/exchange and had the new one on my front door 2 days later.

Opened the second one, and got it all set up. Added 2 gallons of water, went outside to test it and the pump primed properly and sprayed perfectly! Went for some test passes to check my walking pace and the back of my jeans was starting to get soaked. Took the pack off to find that the tank was severely leaking (like many of the other reviews on here), tightened the seal ring, and did not fix it.

Returning both, going another route.
